YOGA FROM THE LAND OF THE PHARAOHS

I have a daily routine of hanging with the girls from the neighborhood at the local cafe every night for my cup of Earl Grey tea. (Oh yeah I'm wild!) When girls get together we do what we do best and thats TALK...or better yet CACKLE!!! Ok so its Valentines Day tomorrow....so you know conversations were bitter. I could not do anything more but be a pleasant observer to the pity party they were throwing. I have been excitingly unattached to a man and a relationship for some time now and have had the invaluable opportunity to see how much work I still have to do.
My crowning achievement thus far is that there is no NEED on my part to go and find another one. My sentiment is... He will find me!
I left the cafe last night pondering about how we as women value our men. YES!!!! we already know what they AIN'T doing. I meet lames ALL the time. However, I can't negate that over the years I have been in the presence of some amazing men who truly commanded my attention enough to want to discover the multi-dimensional aspects to the architecture of a man, particularly the Black Man. I too believe as women we have been inundated with stereotypes of what a man should be, they have now become an expectation. At times I feel we have lost perspective of our roles as women that it seems audacious and arrogant to demand anything more than what we are willing to give ourselves. I am always touched and humbled in the presence of a man who is on the path of Self-Discovery rather than the path of learning to be a man....I believe it comes automatically. I know too many Black Men with tremendous character who obviously feel marginalized by those same stereotypes. Despite the negativity, these men have made a commitment to SELF...a pursuit whose journey will reap the rewards no man or woman can ever promise. As women I believe our role is to stand as a pillar to our men so they too can enjoy the luxury and the vulnerability of going within...a gift that is rightfully theirs. At the end of the day it seems very shallow to me to go out and "find a man." I chuckle at the thought for the mere fact that one has yet to discover the blessing in finding ones Self.

So to all my sistahs...Get It together...we got work to do!
To my brothas...the lame game is played out...Step with KING STATUS

Besides, thats the ONLY status a lady like me repsonds to because I come equally matched!!

This is to all our men who are in pursuit of SELF.
May our Kings rise again

Peace Sista:
I share your sentiments and am once again sadenned by the fact that it is once again a Sista making the call.
I have no idea why I logged on, now I think I do.Today was what i have called "Final Straw Day". As i sit here totally emotionless, i found myself for the last four hours with no feelings at all. I have packed all my clothes, placed them in the truck of my car and said Im going wherever my spirit leads me. A long distance friend called and said "Are you gonna just sleep in your car", "what are you gonna do" and my answer was and is "LIVE". I cant take anymore arm chair revolutionary talk, we approach another "So called Holiday" VALENTINES Day - Sweeties Day - kwk... and Negros are rushing to the storesto buy flowers for another sista he is going to leave in 2.2 or 6.2 months once he has wore the shoes out of their "SOULS"

Was she not sweet on Feburary 13th, did she not deserve to be your flower on Feb 12th.
Men with value, principles, morals and a spirit for Self Determinition are not a hot commodity "their is no future in frontin" - "Cant fake the Funk" I currently live in Phoenix AZ and this is "All Star Weekend" all the "Star Gazers" are out rushing to buy new outfits to go to all the All Star Parties while their children are at home, rushing in hopes tofind "Mr. 2.2 or 6.2", "If it dont make dollars it dont make since" - "Bills-Bills-Bills" "Cash rules everything around me CREAM get the money dollar dollar bill YALL". Mr.2.2 can help you with all these bills, Mr 6.2 can give me status kwk...

Shit is far too crazy for me to take - so i as "Cat Williams Say - I keep it pushing". However, what I mean by "Keep it Pushing" is i keep pushing all the flies away from the eyes and ears of our youth at home sleeping while the Mr. & Ms. 2.2 or 6.2 get their groove on.

I dont even know why Im spitting all these metephores because all that need to hear it is out at the club sipping their "Grey Goose" which they own no stocks in, sipping their "Apple Martinies" jocking Mr. 2.2 or 6.2.

So Sista: The Self, this multi demensional SELF. What's its purpose and whats our mission to teach it to the young and the young at heart, is it not "To Become what we are" The completion of our HU-Man-ness. To Awaken the Divine Presence Within, is it not to "Annihilate our False Sence of Self Ego kwk... This is Our Way - This is the Way of Our Ancestors and we should be striving to find out what that way was and is. Why should we do this? Because our spiritualdevelopment depends on us developing something in us that is very strong which we forgotten, which is imparative that we "REMEMBER" and that can only happen by going within the SELF not going to the clubs and star gazing at Mr. & Ms. 2.2 or 6.2.

This False sence of Egocentricity is our tendency to be fragmented and segmented this way and that way, to be seduced away from ourselves. Our job is todevelop Our True Self and all its gifts to the highest level. In this way our mission becomes that bringing out our total humaness, to bring out our God/Godess qualities and attributes ect... To get our people and all of humanity integrated as strong Hu-man-BE-ings.
All of our practices, opportunities and responsibilities are given to us all the time, designed to bring us forth, to bring the integrated SELF forth with all of its devine qualities. Then in this case what our self imposed egoism amounts tois our fear to BE, our resistence to BE, Our Self Doubt, our withholding of our true selves. This is Our Egoism that has to be Annihilated.

So in Closing Sista- Keep grinding out your self - keep working on those internal attributes and let your shine shine forth.
