At 11:12pm on March 30, 2009, Yirser Ra Hotep said…: In answer to your question and comment, yes Yoga is pure spirituality. But what you call "asana" is still an integral part of the 8 limb approach. The physical body is the vehicle of the spirit. For this reason the physical body must be maintained and elevated. The Nadis, Chakras and other aspects of the astral bodies must be kept clear, balanced and energized. That is why "asana" or movements and postures are important. You cannot just contemplate Yoga like philosophy. Then it becomes European. Yoga involves practices of the mental, phyiscal and spiritual natures.
